Petrol and diesel generators in Kyiv

Diesel and gasoline power generators are usually used to ensure uninterrupted supply of electrical energy to consumers in the event of an accident in centralized power supply networks.

Electric generators are divided into several types:

1. What kind of internal combustion engine (ICE) is used to generate electric current - gasoline or diesel; gasoline generators can sometimes also run on natural gas (propane-butane).
   
   
2. What type of current is generated by this device - direct or alternating. In turn, alternating current is of two types - single-phase 220 Volts (230 Volts - the standard adopted by the NERC of Ukraine since 2013) or three-phase 380 Volts (400 Volts - the standard adopted by the NERC of Ukraine since 2013).
   
   
3. The method of connecting the generator to the consumer network is manual or automatic (through the AVR system - automatic transfer of the reserve).
   
   
4. Mobile or stationary devices.

MOBILE AND STATIONARY GENERATORS

Connecting a mobile generator requires designing a connection network.

For a stationary connection of a gasoline or diesel generator, design is required, which in turn includes several sections:

• electrical solution;
  
  
• design of the building part;
  
  
• conclusions of the environmental inspection of Ukraine regarding the impact on the environment;
  
  
• the conclusion of the inspectors on compliance with the requirements of the fire inspection.

INTRODUCING A GASOLINE OR DIESEL GENERATOR INTO OPERATION AT THE ENTERPRISE

Instructions need to be developed:

• for the operation of the generator;
  
  
• carrying out maintenance;
  
  
• actions of operating personnel in case of emergency shutdowns from the city network and in case of generator failures.
